Privacy Policy
Jett Log ("we," "us," "the app") is built for owner-pilots to log flights and produce their year-end aircraft flight record. This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it on our behalf, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Account data
When you sign in we store your email address, display name, and a
per-user identifier (UUID). Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.
Sign-in codes are delivered via Resend using our sending domain
(jettlog.com).
Business and flight data
Everything you enter into the app: your business name, aircraft (tail number, year/model, max gross takeoff weight), saved passengers, and flight records (date, from/to identifiers, Hobbs readings, nautical miles, per-category occupant counts, business purpose, optional notes, and operator/lessee text). We also store category-count totals and derived values (total hours, tax-year attribution).
Export recipient email
If you choose "Email workbook," we store the recipient email on your tenant so we can pre-fill the mail composer next time. This is saved server-side.
Subscription state
We store whether your tenant is active or lapsed. Actual purchase details (prices, receipts, renewal dates) live with the App Store and RevenueCat — we never see your payment information.
Push notification tokens
If you're an administrator and grant permission, we store the Expo push token for your device so we can notify you when new IRS SIFL rates need to be entered.
Analytics / tracking
None. Jett Log does not use ad networks or cross-app tracking. On iOS, the ATT prompt does not appear because we do not track.
Where the data lives
Supabase — Postgres database, authentication, storage, and edge functions, hosted in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Row-Level Security policies ensure a tenant's data is only visible to its own users.
Resend — transactional email (sign-in codes only). We do not send marketing email.
RevenueCat — subscription state management. RevenueCat receives your user ID and product information; it never receives your name, email, flight data, or payment details.
Apple Push Notification Service — Expo push tokens routed via Expo's service to APNs. Notification content is limited to administrator reminders about IRS rate updates.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
How your data is used
- Authenticate you into the app.
- Compute your flight totals, four-method comparison, and SIFL summary.
- Fill the tax workbook you export.
- Prefill the email composer with the recipient address you chose to save.
- Send administrator reminders about missing SIFL rates.
- Provide customer support when you email us.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is kept as long as your account is active. You can delete your account from inside the app (Settings › Manage account › Delete account) or by emailing support@jettlog.com. On deletion we remove your user row, tenant, aircraft, passengers, flights, occupants, saved purposes, exports, and push tokens. Some derived logs (e.g. edge-function invocation logs) roll off automatically after 7–30 days.
Signing out clears the app's local cache; it does not delete your data on our servers.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to appeal decisions about those rights. Contact support@jettlog.com to exercise any of these rights.
California residents: Jett Log does not "sell" or "share" personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. We collect data solely to provide the service.
Children
Jett Log is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Security
We use industry-standard controls (TLS in transit, at-rest encryption, Row-Level Security in Postgres) to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach we will notify you as required by applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We'll update the effective date at the top when we make material changes. If the changes affect how we handle your data, we'll surface a notice in the app before they take effect.
